The scent of freshly baked croissants fills the air, golden brown layers gently crisp and the first bite of a warm pain au chocolate awakens a real French breakfast feeling. At Studio32 Berlin, you will learn step by step how to make the perfect croissants and pain au chocolate yourself with ease.

The art of French breakfast

This course is all about classic French breakfast pastries. Together, we make original French croissant dough, with lots of patience, good butter and the right techniques for perfect leafing. Our experienced confectioners will show you how to properly tour the layers of dough, shape it and process it into fine pastries.

Croissants and pain au chocolat

You'll learn how to make tender croissants and fill airy pain au chocolat with melt-in-the-mouth chocolate. You will learn what is important in terms of temperature, rest times and dough management so that your pastries not only taste delicious, but are also visually appealing.

What you’ll do in the class

After a warm welcome with a welcome drink, you will receive a short theoretical introduction to the basics of French patisserie. Then it's almost time to get to work. Together, you prepare the croissant dough, make croissants and pain au chocolat and bake them until golden brown. Finally, enjoy a French breakfast with fresh pastries, butter, jam and coffee.
