About this class
In the street art workshop “Stencil Art” at the artort Academy Cologne, you develop your creativity with a spray can and stencil. Whether you're a beginner or with previous knowledge, here you'll learn how to create multi-layered stencils with depth, tonal values and color gradients. Under the guidance of experienced street art artists, you will create your personal work of art on canvas, wood or even a vinyl record. The group size is deliberately kept small so that you receive intensive support. Can be used indoors and outdoors — including equipment, snacks and drinks.
What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome to the Artort Academy Cologne with a short introduction
- Presentation of stencil technology and examples
- Create your own multi-layered templates (multilayer)
- Guide to tonal values, layers, and color gradients
- Free choice of design: use templates or send in your own design in advance
- Spraying on various surfaces (canvas, wood, cardboard, vinyl board)
- Work indoors with extraction or outdoors depending on the weather
- Conclusion with presentation of the works and joint feedback session
- Snacks and drinks are always available
- You can take your work of art home
