About this class
In this workshop, you will learn the art of candle making and create two individually designed candles from high-quality soy wax.
You can choose to pour your candles into a glass or vessel, or work with a decorative design form to create sculptural pieces. We work with materials, fragrance compositions and casting techniques so that your candles are consciously designed and personal.
Soy wax is a natural, plant-based material with clean burn and a soft, elegant surface. Small irregularities and fine structures make each piece unique.
If you want to be even more creative, more candles can be cast on site for an additional charge.
After the workshop, your candles need time to completely harden. They are ready to be picked up at the studio a week later or can be sent to you for a shipping fee of 10€.
What you’ll do in the class
Candles made from 100% natural soy wax, which are poured into molds, are primarily decorative objects due to the properties of the material. Slight irregularities and uneven burning are completely natural. If you still want to light your shaped candle, please place it on a suitable surface to catch any dripping wax.
