About this class
We take a guided and moderated hike through the Hammelburger Heroldsberg wine region. You will taste three different organic wines. You will learn a lot about vineyard work in winter, grape varieties and more.
At the Weinbergshaus, we light a campfire and fire barrels. (We're only outdoors!)
You get a hearty goulash soup with waffle or grilled vegetables for vegetarians. In addition, enjoy a cup of white organic castle mulled wine and a cup of red organic glühling.
You have the option to purchase additional mulled wine or wine for a fee.
What you’ll do in the class
We meet at the parking lot and hike together through the vineyards to the vineyard hut. In between, try three different organic wines between the vines. Ulrike, the winemaker, gives you insights into her work. It explains pruning and all other crafts in the vineyard. If you want, you can crawl down the steep slope to the vineyard hut. Alternatively, you can easily walk along the trail. A burnt old wood stove and a burning campfire await you at the Weinbergshütte. You get mulled wine, goulash soup or grilled vegetables. We round off the evening by candlelight and walk back to the parking lot with torches.
We travel a total of 2.5 km. Please remember to wear weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes.
