Urban Challenger: The interactive team event in Cologne
The principle: In Urban Challenger, your team itself becomes the main player. In Cologne, you will transform the old town and the banks of the Rhine into your very own stage for creative challenges and real collaboration.
Our city challenge focuses on authentic experiences instead of dry theory. By combining our app with a personal live host, we create a dynamic that sustainably connects your team — flexible, modern and perfectly tailored to your needs.
A mix that connects — the challenge categories:
You compete in teams to complete as many challenges as possible from a pool of over 30 varied challenges. You don't have to decide in advance. All teams have access to all tasks and decide spontaneously during the game which challenges they want to tackle. A colorful mix in which every participant can contribute their own strengths:
- Explorer: Discover hidden alleys in the old town and the modern architecture in Rheinauhafen.
- Artist: Get creative in front of the impressive backdrop of Cologne Cathedral or use the city's urban walls as your canvas.
- Foodie: Taste Cologne as you go — try local classics in the brewery or a typical snack on the banks of the Rhine.
- Connector: Strengthen your team spirit and experience the cheerful nature of the Rhenish — a hearty “Juten Tach” or a little chat with the locals.
- History: Dive into 2,000 years of city history in a playful way, from the Romans to the legends of Cologne Carnival.
- Nature: Find green oases in the middle of the city or enjoy the vastness on the banks of the Rhine.
Steps of the tour
This is how your event works:
- Individual starting point: We start where it suits you — whether directly at the office, at the hotel or at a central spot such as Domplatz or Heumarkt.
- Ready, Set, Go: Meet your game host for a briefing. After logging in to the app, it starts immediately.
- Master challenges: You complete as many tasks as possible in the given time and upload your photo and video evidence directly.
- Real-time feedback: Your game host moderates the game in real time, gives motivating feedback and is always available as a contact person.
- The final: After the time has elapsed, the team with the most points wins the winning prizes.
- Flexible schedule: By default, the event lasts 2.5 hours — but we're happy to adjust the game time individually, from 90-minute action to a half-day event.
- Reminders included: After the event, you'll receive all photos and videos of your challenges as a digital package — moments that you'll talk about months later.
