About this class
In our “Party DJ! “Course, we turn curiosity into real mixing console skills. Here, children and young people aged 6 to 14 learn how to not only listen to music, but also actively create it. We train rhythm, hand-eye coordination and multitasking on modern controllers. It's about much more than technology: The participants get to know different musical genres and develop the empathy to “read the room” — i.e. to feel exactly which track will shake the dance floor next. Creative training for self-confidence and team spirit!
What you’ll do in the class
The course is a mix of action, sound check and real craftsmanship:
- Check-in & gear check: We are familiarizing ourselves with the equipment. Buttons, faders and jog wheels — what does what do they do?
- The Science of Sound: Playful ear training to recognize beats and harmonies.
- Hands-on mixing: We practice smooth transitions and adjusting beats.
- The DJ-Psychology: How do I know what my friends want to hear? We're practicing the “Read the Room.”
- Showtime: At the end, everyone plays their own little set and we celebrate the premiere together on the podium.
Who is the class suitable for?
This course is perfect for all up-and-coming talent aged between 6 and 14 who:
- Love music and have always wanted to know how a DJ works.
- Feel like making new friends and being creative together.
- Want to improve your coordination and concentration in a fun way.
- Want to go from bedroom DJ to king or queen of the stage.
- No previous experience is required!
