How does this experience take place?
We're really starting with “Absolute Zero” — you don't need any previous knowledge.
- Introduction: You will learn about traditional materials: ink (sumi), brush (fude) and paper (washi).
- The technique: We'll show you the basis of the “Four Gentlemen” — the classic principles of Sumi-e art.
- The flow: As soon as the basics are in place, live music comes into play. Instead of rigid concentration, we let ourselves be guided by the melody.
- The goal: We do not paint for the perfect result, but for the process. You learn to set the “single line” with confidence.

- All materials: Japanese ink, brushes, rice paper

What to bring?
