About this class
The Open Art Space is a free workshop format that offers you assistance and expert support for your individual, artistic challenges.
In a small, inspiring group, you have the opportunity to paint regularly and focus on your individual goals. Whether you want to start a new project, complete a work you've started, or simply improve your technology — your goals are in focus here.
In a small group of max. 7 participants, Valerie Tschida offers you targeted support with challenges and valuable tips to expand your painting skills and abilities. From portrait drawing, acrylic painting to oil painting, she is available to you with her knowledge. Her areas of expertise include depiction of people and animals, nature studies, realistic painting based on models, depicting hands and feet, surface imitation and illusion...
The open art space takes place in the UpTown Gallery, in the heart of Graz. High-quality materials (acrylic and oil paints, pens and paper/canvases excluded) are included in the course fee. So you don't have to bring your colors with you and can experiment with the existing colors and try out new things as you please.

Discuss with Valerie what you would like to do
If you bring inspiration and image templates, it can support you more easily (e.g. works by your favorite artist or a photo that you would like to turn into painting)
Let's go! ... the material (excluding canvas) is on site and included in the contribution.
If time is too short, you are welcome to book one of the following appointments.
After that, you go home excited and inspired (though perhaps a bit tired from intensive painting) and look forward to the next time! :)
Who is the class suitable for?
- Beginners who don't even have a plan where to start
- Painters who are facing certain challenges and would like to know how they are progressing. (You are welcome to bring a painting you have started and continue working with Valerie's help)
- Advanced learners who want to hone their skills and are looking for new inspiration
