About this class
Treat yourself to a very special, mindful break and dive deep into your creative flow. This workshop combines relaxation, meditation and intuitive painting to create a special experience that combines body, mind and creativity — regardless of whether you already have artistic experience or are holding a brush for the first time.
We start our time together with a gentle guided meditation that grounds you, calms your breath and leads you into an inner state of peace and openness. You consciously leave everyday life behind, arrive at the moment and open up space for inspiration and creative energy. Meditation helps you connect with your feelings, intuition and inner expression — an ideal start to the painting process.
We then dive into a creative session of around two hours, in which you create your own abstract work of art. With acrylic paints, spatula technology and various texturing tools, you can work intuitively, freely and without pressure of expectation. The spatula technique allows you to experiment playfully: layers are created, colors mix, shapes appear as if by themselves. Step by step, a work of art grows that makes your mood, your expression and your inner world visible.
During the entire time, you will receive suggestions for color selection, composition and structure, as well as small technical tips to help you discover your own style. At the same time, I deliberately give you a lot of freedom so that you can find your authentic expression, without guidelines or pressure to perform.
For a particularly pleasant experience, you can enjoy a creamy matcha drink, an aromatic coffee or a refreshing soft drink while painting. This small moment of pleasure supports the relaxed atmosphere and makes the workshop a loving self-care ritual — a space in which you can relax, try out new things and completely dedicate yourself to the process.
What you’ll do in the class
1. Arrive & get in the mood (approx. 10 minutes)
You arrive relaxed at SHADES Bar & Atelier and make yourself comfortable in your seat.
Quiet music is playing, candles or soft lighting create a pleasantly creative atmosphere.
You will receive a brief introduction to the process and can already choose a drink (matcha, coffee or soft drink).
2. Guided meditation & mindfulness exercise (approx. 10-15 minutes)
We start with a guided meditation together.
You are gently guided by breathing exercises that calm your mind and ground you.
The aim is to let go of everyday stress, open up your senses and enter an intuitive, creative state.
You connect with your inner mood, colors, and expression.
3. Introduction to intuitive painting (approx. 10 minutes)
Brief presentation of the materials: acrylic paints, spatulas, brushes, texturing tools, stencils or sponges, if necessary.
Explanation of putty technology: Build layers, use edges, pull, press, create structure.
Technical notes: color combinations, drying times, revision options.
Inspirations for abstract compositions — without pressure, without “right or wrong.”
4. Creative painting session — main part (approx. 90-120 minutes)
This is the core of the workshop.
Here you can work freely, intuitively and without evaluation.
You choose your colors and start applying the first coats.
The spatula technique invites you to experiment:
Draw color
Build structures
Overlay layers
Create lines and shapes intuitively
I will guide you individually, give you tips on technology, composition or color harmony — just if you want.
Meanwhile, you can relax and enjoy your drink: creamy matcha, aromatic coffee or a soft drink.
In between, you can take short breaks, look at your work from a distance and collect inspiration.
Step by step, your abstract work of art grows — unique and out of your own creative flow.
5. Finalization & fine-tuning (approx. 15-20 minutes)
You set final highlights, structures or lines.
If you want, you can add small accents with gold/white/black or with scratching techniques.
We will look together to see whether you would like to round off your work or whether it is already “finished”.
Who is the class suitable for?
For anyone who enjoys creativity — regardless of experience or talent. The course is suitable for beginners, amateur painters, yoga and mindfulness fans, as well as anyone who is looking for a relaxing break and wants to intuitively create their own work of art.
