About this experience
Experience a real premiere in Hamburg: The tactile joy of charcoal drawing meets exclusive live music! Forget everything you know about rigorous art courses. During our “Live Music Charcoal Session,” we turn up the volume when it comes to mindfulness. We combine the wonderfully “dirty” and tactile experience of charcoal with a live performance. As the rhythm flows, your hand also moves intuitively across the paper. We say goodbye to the rules of “perfect art” and focus fully on the feeling and the moment. This is not an ordinary workshop, but a jam session for your eyes and ears — the perfect place to escape from everyday screen life, find your “tribe” and let go creatively.
How does this experience take place?
We start off completely relaxed — “Come as you are”, you don't need any previous knowledge.
Introduction: You get to know your tool. Charcoal is original, direct and wonderfully uncomplicated. We'll show you how differently the material reacts to pressure.
The technology: We teach you the basics of how to work with swing, swipe and line guidance. Don't be afraid of black fingers — that's part of it!
The flow: As soon as you've familiarized yourself with the material, the live music takes over. The melodies guide your strokes, sometimes gently, sometimes energetically.
The goal: It is not about a photorealistic image, but about the expression. You learn to trust the process and let yourself be carried away by rhythm.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to turn off their heads and get their hands dirty.
