About this class
Join us for an authentic kimchi-making workshop in Berlin, led by two Koreans who grew up making kimchi the traditional way. This is not just a cooking class—it's a hands-on experience rooted in Korean food culture, fermentation tradition, and the joy of eating together.
In Korea, kimchi is never made alone. It's always done together, and always followed by a shared meal. This workshop follows that spirit.
What you’ll do in the class
- Short introduction to kimchi—its history, cultural significance, and the fermentation process
- Hands-on kimchi-making session, guided step by step
- Shared meal: bossam (slow-cooked pork) with freshly made kimchi & tofu with fermented kimchi
The full session runs for 3 hours.
Who is the class suitable for?
This workshop is for anyone curious about Korean food culture—no cooking experience needed. Whether you're a complete beginner, a fermentation enthusiast, or simply someone who loves eating well, you're welcome here. Great for friends, couples, or solo visitors looking for a meaningful and delicious experience in Berlin.
