What can you expect from our three-part oil painting workshop in Graz for the first time?
Dive into the fascinating world of oil painting and discover the basics of this traditional art form. Our three-part workshop is aimed at participants with little or no experience in working with oil paints. You have the opportunity to start your artistic journey and become familiar with various painting techniques.
What is the process of our first-time oil painting - three-part workshop in Graz?
The workshop is spread over three dates, during which you will learn the basic techniques of oil painting. Under the guidance of our experienced course instructor Valerie Tschida, you will choose two motifs that you would like to work on. You will learn both classical layer painting and alla prima painting in order to develop an understanding of different approaches.
Who is our three-part oil painting workshop in Graz for?
Our workshop is aimed at anyone who is interested in painting with oil paints, regardless of their level of experience. If you have never worked with oil paints before or would like to improve your skills, you are welcome to join our workshop.
Details to remember
What to bring?
- 2 template images (A4 printout)
- a realistic motif for layered painting (preferably a photo)
- a motif that you want to implement “impressionistically”, i.e. in Alla Prima painting (this can be a photo that you translate into painterly, but also a work of art by your favorite artist — even an abstract work of art)
What is included?
- all materials (including oil paints and canvases)
- Valerie will share her extensive knowledge and experience with you to help you learn the basics of oil painting.
- By the end of the workshop, you will have developed an understanding of the use of oil paints and be able to work independently.
