About this experience
Something bad happened just before the big release party: The recipe for the new Kölsch from the brewery “Et läuft” was sabotaged. Brewery owner Hennes Hoppe needs you — you take on the lead role, slip into the shoes of real investigators and make Cologne your playing field.
The mission takes you from Heumarkt through Rheinauhafen to Südstadt — past places that tell their own story and to corners that even diehard people from Cologne rediscover. At each station, there is a puzzle that can only be solved on site: read clues, recognize connections, work out the next step together. The puzzles vary in difficulty — tricky enough for escape room fans, accessible enough for anyone who would otherwise never touch a puzzle. Regardless of whether it's logic, intuition or simply a good gut feeling — everyone in the team has something that can be decisive.
We developed this tour ourselves: together with local Cologne experts, we traveled the route, selected the locations, wrote the story and designed the puzzles directly on site — adapted to what you really see, find and experience there. No AI, no generic template. Each of our tours is created this way, and it shows.
In between, you'll learn things about Cologne that no travel guide tells — from brewing culture to quirky anecdotes to stories that make you see the city with completely different eyes.

How does this experience take place?
After booking, you will receive a personal access code via email within 24 hours. Open the link on your smartphone — no download required, just mobile internet. The tour starts at Heumarkt and ends at Chlodwigplatz (very good public transport connection). You solve puzzles directly on site, receive city guide information and fun facts at every station and work your way through the case together. Optional: competition mode with evaluation and high score. Duration: approx. 2-3 hours. Can be moved at any time in bad weather.
