About this experience
Discover Freiburg in a completely different way — and really grow together as a team. During this self-guided city rally, you take on the role of a private team of investigators together. You were hired by a descendant of the Münsterbauer and have two tasks: Find the lost designs before they are lost forever and find out what happened to the builder. The signs in the city will guide you if you know how to read them correctly.
What makes this tour different from an ordinary team event: The puzzles are designed in such a way that different perspectives, observations and ideas are required — if you ponder alone, you will reach your destination more slowly. Whoever thinks in a team wins. You dive into the mission together, bring in various strengths and experience real cooperation that comes naturally. Anyone who thinks analytically, who is creative, who knows the city, who discovers details — everyone gets involved here. Not a set up team building exercise, but an experience that creates real cooperation because it is required.
We've been developing our tours for over six years and have found out in many hours what really works — which puzzle teams bring together, which moments are remembered and how to turn an afternoon in the city into an experience that people talk about weeks later.
The route leads along historic buildings and roads and ends at a central square from which you can continue exploring the city. A train station and restaurants are nearby. You start and end in districts with numerous restaurants, bars and locations — the perfect program item before an evening together.
How does this experience take place?
After booking, you will receive your personal login details via email within 24 hours. You start when it suits you — the tour is available at any time, no fixed date required.
On game day, you meet at Freiburg Cathedral, split into small groups and open the web app in the browser — no download, no installation, no big data consumption. From this moment on, the app does everything: introduction to the mission, directions from station to station, puzzles, challenges and exciting facts about Freiburg. Nothing needs to be prepared or printed out.
The small groups play together or against each other in competition mode — with live team tracking and award ceremony at the end. The tour lasts around 3 hours and ends in Colombipark, surrounded by numerous restaurants and bars for a joint end. If you have any questions, our support is always available. If the weather is bad, simply postpone.
Who is it suitable for
For company teams who want to experience something together — whether as a team building event, company outing, onboarding or a change from everyday office life. Suitable for teams from 4 to 100 people.
The puzzles are deliberately designed in such a way that different strengths are required — analytical thinking, creativity, local knowledge, communication. Experience shows that teams that communicate and contribute different strengths achieve their goals faster — and have much more fun doing so.
No previous knowledge required. Even diehard people from Freiburg will discover places, stories and facts that they did not yet know. The city becomes a playing field — and a familiar environment is suddenly experienced in a completely new way. This makes the tour the ideal program item for teams who think they've already experienced everything together.
