About this experience
A Hamburg industrialist has died — and his last will is causing turmoil: His inheritance does not go to his family, but to those who pass his secret tests. Your group is taking on the challenge. Together, she follows in the footsteps of an enigmatic man through almost a century of city history — and accompanies the bridal couple on one of the most unusual paths into the next phase of their lives.
The route starts at Jungfernstieg, where Germany's first asphalted road was built in 1838 and opened the world's first underwater subway stop in 1931. From there, the trail continues over memorials of the war years, the Town Hall Square — whose building survived the war only with an undetonated bomb — through the decades of reconstruction to modern HafenCity. The end point is the Elbphilharmonie: one of the most impressive places in Hamburg, which awaits the group at the end of the mission. Anyone who knows the city will see it here with new eyes. Anyone who doesn't know her yet falls in love along the way.
After each completed station, there is a JGA challenge — and it's a tough one. When booking, you choose between women's and men's JGA: The tasks are then put together in a suitable way, with guessing questions about the bridal couple, funny photo challenges, quiz rounds about life together and small introductory games for everyone in the round. The challenges are designed to connect rather than separate: funny, sometimes a bit personal, but never at anyone's expense.
The beauty of this format is that it's not just fun for the brave or the loud. Anyone who observes well, who has local knowledge, who is creative or simply has an alert eye — every person in the group has their moment. The challenges require no tests of courage and no willingness to embarrass yourself. They require that you know each other — or want to get to know each other.
Unboxed Tactics has been developing these rallies for over six years — with real groups in the real city, reworked over and over again. The start is at Jungfernstieg, directly accessible by the subway and S-Bahn. The finale at the Elbphilharmonie is the perfect end — and there are numerous bars and restaurants around HafenCity waiting for the evening after.
How does this experience take place?
After booking, you will receive your personal login details and all information for the day within 24 hours. No download, no preparation required.
At the Jungfernstieg meeting point, the group starts together, opens the web app on their smartphone and gets started. The mission takes you through the city as a group: solving puzzles, discovering places, and after each completed station, there is a JGA challenge that suits the group and the occasion — from estimation questions to the bridal couple to spontaneous photo challenges.
The rally usually takes 2.5 to 3 hours — Hamburg's longest route. You set the pace yourself. Everyone meets again at the destination, the Elbphilharmonie. The app shows the result, and from there it's just a short way to HafenCity's bars and restaurants for the evening.
In case of bad weather, the appointment can be rescheduled free of charge — uncomplicated, at no extra charge.
Who is it suitable for

The mix of city rally and JGA challenges works for groups that know each other well as for groups that some people are new to. Nobody is put in an unpleasant situation — combining tasks instead of embarrassing someone.
Even those who think they know Hamburg well will be surprised: The route leads to details and perspectives that are new even to locals. For guests from other cities, it is also the best way to get to know Hamburg — with a story that you won't soon forget.
