Class description

First, we'll look at various watercolor techniques. I will show you how you can create a motif with a suitable background by washing and glazing. Laundering refers to creating color gradients, while glazing involves applying multiple layers of transparent paint. These techniques allow you to create depth and dimension in your work of art.

We then practice the flower structure of the loose and abstract roses. I'll show you my method of watercolor roses in a loose and easy way. We deliberately do not aim for a realistic style, but reserve the freedom to interpret the roses according to our own ideas. This gives us the opportunity to be creative and experimental, making each rose unique.

After this exercise, we will put the roses together with leaves and berries in a flower wreath. I'll give you valuable tips on how to assemble the wreath and show you how to make your watercolor flower wreath appear fuller and more lively. By cleverly placing the elements and adding small details, your wreath will look harmonious and balanced.

Mixed media details round off the picture down to the smallest detail. We will incorporate additional materials and techniques to create interesting accents and textures.

After the workshop, you can look forward to your hand-painted watercolor flower wreath with roses and be proud to have created a unique work of art.
