Class description
Germany, the land of wine floods! Whether you're shopping for the week, at the gas station or even at the hardware store — there's wine everywhere. But what about the quality of these “practical” drops? And what distinguishes them from the more elegant bottles from specialist retailers? Welcome to the VINVIA basic seminar, where we will clear the wine jungle together and help you find your way around the next time you buy wine.
In an exciting blind tasting session, we pit specialist wines against discount wines — the ultimate taste test! Can cheaper wines surprise? Or are retailers clearly showing what quality really means here? We get to the bottom of these questions not only theoretically, but also sensitively.
And in doing so, we clarify:
- How do you recognize quality — and how do you recognize wine defects?
- Is Literware automatically a “cheap solution”?
- What does the price of a wine say about its performance?
- How much do points ratings and reviews really help?
- And can labels provide information about quality?
With a good dose of humor, exciting tastings and lots of practical tips, we'll get you ready for your next wine purchase. Whether you're a bargain hunter or a connoisseur — after this seminar, you'll be well prepared to find your way around the wine rack with confidence. Because good taste knows no gas station limits!
How does this activity work?
- Welcoming the participants from 6:45pm by the wine speaker

- Tasting using the principles of wine sensory and structured tasting techniques, discussion of wine defects, quality criteria
- Information about growing regions, grape varieties, wine production, and special features of the wines tasted
- Many useful tips on the subject of “artisanal wines versus industrial wines”, on the selection, purchase and storage of wines
- Answering questions about the seminar topic as well as the topic of wine in general
