Class description

Welcome to a delightful journey through the country where wine is not just a drink, but pure joie de vivre! Italy has 3,000 years of winemaking tradition — but don't worry, we're not stuck in the past. In the last 30 years, a small wine revolution has taken place in Italy's wine cellars and on the sunny hills: out with the basket bottle, out with the uncompromising quality!

In this wine seminar, we will take you on a journey through the most important wine regions in Italy — from the elegant white wines of South Tyrol to the powerful reds of Piedmont to the Mediterranean seductions from Puglia and Sicily. And of course Tuscany and Chianti should not be missed — after all, the region has more to offer than “red wine with pizza.”

In addition to first-class tastings, we answer exciting questions such as:

  • Chianti — tradition or modern diversity? And how many styles are there actually?
  • Where do the best white wines hide in a country full of red wine stars?
  • Aglianico: The underrated diva among Italy's grape varieties.
  • Is there really a quality gap between North and South — or is that a myth?

With high-quality wines, exciting insights and a pinch of humor, you'll discover Italy's true potential as a wine country. In short: This seminar is like a mini trip to Italy — only without jet lag and with a guaranteed full glass! Cin cin!

  • Lots of useful tips on food pairing, service and wine storage
  • Answering questions about wine
