THE ART — Mix & Match is a mixed-media art session in Frankfurt: You combine painting with collage (magazine snippets, shapes, symbols, textures) and build your own mood piece on canvas. It's about expression, identity and atmosphere, accompanied by a live DJ set from local DJs from Frankfurt, drinks and a non-judgemental space.
What you’ll do in the class
- Arrive and start the mood: short welcome, music, materials and process
- Mix and match selection: You put together your piece — e.g.
portrait/body/mood + symbols/florals/words + color world/texture - Collage phase: Browse through magazines, rip, cut, collect, build up a mood pool
- Layering and painting: gluing, painting over, adding, compacting (acrylic + texturing paste + details)
- Support without printing: We provide inspiration for composition, layering and color tension — without step-by-step instructions
