About this class

Did you know that the entire pottery process consists of turning, turning, drying, firing, glazing and final firing? In this course, you not only turn your cup, bowl, vase, etc. on the glass, but you can also learn how to turn it off and work out the details in a second appointment.

What you’ll do in the class

Session 1: Spin (approx. 2.5 hours)
Design as many cups, bowls, vases or other pieces as you can on the turntable in this session.

Session 2: Trim (approx. 2.5 hours)
As soon as the pieces are leathery, you will learn how to twist. You can refine the shape, add elements, and work out details.

The pieces must then dry completely in order to be prepared for the scrub fire at 950°C. We will then glaze them, or you can optionally book another glazing appointment.

Your work is then burnt up at over 1220°C, making it waterproof and dishwasher-safe.

Who is the class suitable for?

This course is ideal for anyone looking for a creative and meditative balance to everyday stress. It is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced potters. Our small group guarantees individual attention and guidance.
