About this class

What you’ll do in the class

Event 1: Center
You prepare the sound, center it, and open it. Everything can still be crooked here.
Session 2: Cylinders and vessels
You deepen the turning of cylinders and vessels and work on wall thickness and height.
Session 3: Turning off and new forms
As soon as your pieces are leathery, you learn how to twist. You refine shapes, add details and try out new shapes on the disc.
Event 4: Free shooting
You implement your own ideas and shoot your own small series.
Date 5: Turning off and optional studio briefing
You're shooting your last songs. On request, you will also receive an introduction to the studio for the Open Studio.

Before firing, your pieces dry completely and are prepared for the scrub fire at 950 degrees. If you don't book an additional glazing appointment, we will glaze your pieces for you. We then burn your work at over 1220 degrees to make it waterproof and dishwasher-safe.
