About this class
Imagine starting the day with a sip of coffee from your own cup and sniffing off your own breakfast plate and bowl. In this class, we will comfortably make pottery on your cup, bowl and plate on two Easter mornings.
What you’ll do in the class
This course, which consists of two parts, takes you through the process of making pottery:
Session 1: Turning — Shaping the Set
Date: April 18, 10:30 — 13:30
We'll start the morning by working on cylindrical shapes to create your unique cup and bowl, followed by shaping your plate. Enjoy a relaxed, creative environment while you make pottery at the hub. After this session, we let your pieces dry until they are leathery for the next phase.
Session 2: Trimming — Refining Details
Date: April 19, 10:30 AM — 1:30 PM
Now is the time to refine your pieces! You add a foot to your cup and bowl, smooth out the edges, and create a handle for your mug. Once completed, the works of art dry completely before being fired, glazed and fired up in our studio, making them food safe and dishwasher safe.
Who is the class suitable for?
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking for a creative break from city life. It doesn't matter whether you want to come alone or with friends. In a small group, you will be shown individual tips and tricks. No previous experience required!
