About this class
In this workshop, we embark on a creative painting process without pressure or the goal of creating a specific image. The focus is on free expression, interplay and experimentation of colors and shapes. We use various media (e.g. sponge, spatula, etc.) and combine them with various colorants (acrylic, charcoal, chalk, etc.) as required. The result is painting that is an expression of your feelings and your moment — freely, individually and full of creativity
Depending on requirements, basic elements of painting (color theory and mixing colors) are also playfully incorporated.
Intuitive painting can also help you overcome your fear of white canvas and have a meditative and calming effect on yourself.
What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome and introduction (if required, also into the basics of painting (color theory, mixing colors)
- Materials science — discover paints, brushes, spatulas & other media
- Free painting process — experiment intuitively with colors & shapes
- Design on canvas — create individual works of art
- Reflection and exchange with the group — look at the works & share experiences
