Learn how to crochet with big needles and thick yarn and crochet a modern storage basket with a Scandinavian look.
In my crochet workshops in Bad Schönborn near Heidelberg and Karlsruhe, I'll show you how you can make a modern crochet basket yourself from a thick cotton cord. You can choose from different models of baskets - how about a heart basket for Valentine's Day?
With the big needles and thick yarn, you can make rapid progress and soon have your sense of success in your hands. Finally, you can decorate the finished crochet basket with a label and of course take it home with you. You can also take the crochet pattern for the basket with you and if you are ready to crochet, maybe crochet another basket at home.
It is also possible to crochet another basket model, such as a heart basket, star basket or a bowl or a square basket. I would be happy to show you the patterns of the baskets on site and you can choose your basket to implement.
Enjoy the creative atmosphere and the exchange with other crochet fans while you crochet a new and practical home accessory with your hands.
The crochet course is suitable for advanced and beginners. No matter what crochet experience you have, I will help you make your crochet basket easy.
What you’ll do in the class
After a relaxed arrival in the course room, participants choose a color for their crochet project. There are plenty of colors to choose from here. Then we'll start the crochet project together.
Here I explain the basic techniques and types of stitches that are needed to crochet a basket. As the crochet project continues to grow, I am available with advice and assistance and help when things get stuck or if a small mistake has crept in.
You can always take short breaks in between.
