About this class
In this course, we dive into a contrasting color scheme of black and white.
We experiment with charcoal and chalk so that a mysterious interplay of light and dark and the various shades can be created.
The minimalistic use of the few materials makes it easier for us to access the design and proves that less is more here.
This course is suitable for everyone, no previous experience is required.
What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome and introduction to charcoal painting techniques
- Free painting process — play and experiment intuitively with chiaroscuro contrasts
- Reflection and exchange with the group — look at the works & share experiences
