About this experience
Experience an evening steeped in history about the invention of the late harvest. The audience is in the midst of the French Revolution between Napoleon and Metternich. Very close to Karl, the hot-headed late reading rider, and his clever sister Maria, who made the Rheingau what it is today: the cradle of the late harvest.
Karl is actually supposed to ride to the prince abbot of Fulda to present him the grapes picked from the vine so that the gracious lord raises his benevolent hand to allow the grape harvest. But Karl swamps in the taverns with cheap beer and watery cabbage soup. Meanwhile, the grapes on the vine become overripe. Does the wine spoil? Fortunately, Charles' patented sister Maria has the saving idea.
