About this experience
Do you know the watercolors from school, but haven't been able to fully get used to the painting medium yet? How about I teach you some basics of watercolor painting and also try out different creative techniques? Who knows, maybe an artist will grow up afterwards and you will be able to prove the knowledge you have acquired at school and at home?
Learn the art of watercolor painting in a cozy atmosphere at a watercolor workshop in Dortmund! Create animal, fruity, sweet postcard motifs or try out fascinating gold pigments on paper.

How does this experience take place?
At the beginning of the workshop, you and the other participants will receive an age-appropriate and stripped-down introduction to the art of watercolor painting with small practical exercises on the most important techniques. Here you will experience the first wow effects! I will then send you a postcard sized paper for a jointly selected motif, which you will design under guidance after a short demonstration on my part. For example, this could be a low-threshold motif such as a fig cactus or a piece of watermelon. This gives you an immediate sense of success.
Now the brush is used for a motif of your choice: create your very individual patterns and motifs with watercolors. Can this be a flower or a rainbow, for example? I provide support and advice in this regard. You can design your products to your heart's content, because a wide selection of motifs and additional materials is waiting for you in my studio. If you want to experiment a bit, we can also paint with golden paint!
After 3 hours, you will have created around 2-3 different, individual art products — a great feeling when you hold it in your hand with joy and see what you've achieved.
Who is it suitable for
This course is suitable for preschool and elementary school children who would like to be creative.
As a parent, you are cordially invited to attend. There are certainly children who are more shy and/or don't want to be alone. I'm not excluding anyone. There is a relaxing retreat for you. But you are also welcome to take a walk during your time and admire the fields and the views.
