About this class
In this course, you will learn how to represent nude models expressively and precisely using painterly and drawing techniques. Supported by perception exercises and daily life models, you can build or deepen your nude drawing skills. Experienced lecturer Hinrich Schüler gives you valuable tips and techniques to help you develop your own artistic style. In addition to quick sketching, you will also learn how to integrate realistic details and composition into your works. The course provides valuable inspiration for beginners as well as advanced participants.
What you’ll do in the class
- Daily perception exercises to deepen the understanding of nude models
- Changing life models until noon for varied practice
- Sketchy recording of the models, as well as detailed painter/graphic preparation
- Photo reviews and corrections for individual development
- Tips on composition, light/darkness and color design from lecturer Hinrich Schüler
- Coffee breaks with short lectures on drawing and painting topics
