About this class
Learn how to work on the potter's wheel from the ground up in this basic course. In three appointments, you will shape, process and glaze your own ceramic pieces (approx. 3-5 works). Perfect for beginners! Including materials, firing processes and personal support in a small group.
What you’ll do in the class
On Friday evening, in the first part of the course, you will make your pieces on the pottery wheel for 2.5 hours with the support of an instructor who will explain everything to you in detail right from the start. The following day (Saturday morning), you will trim your pieces for another 2 hours in the 2nd part of the course. Here, too, you will receive an explanation from the course instructor. After about 1-2 weeks, you will receive a text message from us that you can come glaze your pieces on a Monday evening (by appointment). This is followed by the glaze firing and after a further 1-2 weeks you can pick up your finished ceramic from the studio.
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is ideal for beginners with no previous experience who want to learn how to make pottery at the turntable from scratch. Creative beginners who are discovering a new hobby or looking for a break from everyday life are also in the right place here. Minimum age: 14 years.
