Create spaces — enable you to get to know each other
Since 2013, Über den Tellerrand has been helping people with refugee experience to integrate and participate socially in our society. We create spaces that enable encounters and exchanges on equal terms and promote friendships between people with and without refugee experience. Our diverse exchange activities reduce prejudices on both sides, promote openness and respect, and pass on language skills and cultural knowledge.
During culinary, creative and sporting activities, people from different backgrounds meet, get to know each other and make friends.
Beyond the box
Founded in Berlin, “Über der Tellerrand” motivates cross-border encounters and exchange on equal footing. Our network now includes intercultural communities in 40 cities, which we name. In Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Colombia, our Über den Tellerrand Communities offer networking activities and promote sustainable friendship networks. For an open and tolerant society in which we are all equal members.
