As a non-profit association, the JUKU caravan was founded in 2003 by artists and educators, and since then it has been a member of the Bavarian State Association of Youth Art and Cultural Education Institutions (LJKE). This in turn is embedded in BJKE, the association of nationwide art schools. The JUKU caravan maintains regular exchanges and benefits from continuing education.
As an association of artists and art mediators, we are an extracurricular, cultural educational institution.
In our studios and workshops located in and around Würzburg, we give children and young people the opportunity to try out and experiment artistically. Our aim is to promote awareness of art and culture by teaching craft and artistic techniques and to cherish and cultivate the creativity of children and young people.
In our caravanserai at Bürgerbräu, our central cell and starting point for ideas and actions, we also present the works of our participants. The place, which has now been converted into a one-room gallery, shows what has been created, found and twisted, and offers samples and art snacks to the interested public. We provide an insight into the range of diverse artistic approaches.
Come by or let us come, because we move as a caravan too!
