Get to know Fair-Knotted Design
With Fair-Knotted, I would like to introduce myself to you as a macrame designer. The art of knots grabbed me many years ago. What initially began with making jewelry was supplemented by interior design. I am inspired by the shapes and colors of nature and like to play with different techniques and materials.
With the site and my blog, I also intend to create, inform and support fair ties. It is very important to me to remember the masters of the textile craft and to present women's collectives from faraway countries on my blog from time to time - and who knows, perhaps soon to report personally from the countries.
I myself am a graduate teacher in intercultural education. After several practical and research stays in Guatemala and Nicaragua, Central America has become my second home since 2002. My son Mael was born in Nicaragua in 2011, where I led the non-profit association Proyecto Mosaico e.V., for which I am still a member of the board. Within this framework, I was very fortunate to work with many large and small organizations and projects. This also includes the fundraising projects that I would now like to support with your help.
