Ana Kavalis book classes

Ana Kavalis is an interdisciplinary performance artist from Havana, Cuba, who has lived in Berlin since 2004. With an acting background from Montevideo and Brazil, she combines movement, voice, improvisation and body work — inspired by butoh, somatics, theatre and live music. Her artistic work revolves around feminist and decolonial themes: identity, gender, migration and embodiment are at the center of her work. She creates her own solo performances and projects, leads trainings (e.g. Resonant Body), cooperates with international musicians and works both on stages and in unusual spaces.
