About this class
Is your future as a yoga teacher calling you? And are you thinking about where you should do your yoga training in Karlsruhe? Here is your decision-making tool.
There are now many offers — and all are making an effort: comparatively expensive weekend formats, first attempts by studios, training courses “on the side” or as an additional business to the movement style.
be yogi offers you more: one of the most renowned basic yoga courses in German-speaking countries, which follows the classic principles of yoga — and translates them into a modern learning culture.
Three questions to help you make your decision
- Clarity in practice: Do you want to significantly intensify your own practice — and understand what really connects body, breath and mind?
- Conscious attitude: Are you looking for training in which you learn through experience — in a small group, with honest guidance and genuine cooperation?
- Integrity in action: Is it important to you to choose a recognized, certified education that strengthens you professionally and allows you to grow as a person?
If you say yes to these questions on the inside! Feel that you are ready for your next step — and be yogi is happy to accompany you along the way.
What you’ll do in the class
The timetable is well filled during the 16 days of training: As a rule, a training day lasts from 8:30 in the morning to 19:00 in the evening. Of course, there is always a lunch break with enough time to eat, as well as a few short breaks to take a deep breath.
We often start with meditation or a relaxing yoga session in the morning, during the day we focus on the many interesting topics on the curriculum and in the evening we usually end with a more dynamic yoga lesson. We have also set aside time for freelance work at home, during which you can deepen your knowledge at your own pace and fill out your workbook.
The lessons are a varied mix of group work, practical exercises and lectures. You can always actively participate and contribute your strengths. Since we accept a maximum of 15 students per course, there is always enough time for individual questions and sufficient repetition so that you can safely pass your exams.
Who is the class suitable for?
You should be at least 18 years old to participate in our 200h yoga training course. If you are younger, we need your parents' written consent. Otherwise, your age doesn't matter — our previous participants were mostly between 30 and 35 years old, but younger and significantly older yogis and yoginis (up to over 60) have also been there.
It is important that you already have experience with yoga asanas — ideally, you have been practicing regularly for one to two years. You don't need to have acrobatic skills such as headstands or handstands. Instead, you should enjoy diving deeper into your practice and working intensively on the background of yoga. Our training is physically demanding, but open to everyone who is enthusiastic about it.
In principle, you should be physically healthy and resilient. Pregnancy or minor physical limitations do not automatically preclude participation — it is important that you respect your own limits and treat yourself with care.
We also recommend that you take a few yoga lessons with our teachers in advance of the training. This gives you a good idea of what to expect.
