The Half Moon Hotel

The Hotel Halber Mond in Heppenheim, southern Hesse, offers its own distillery, cozy rooms and versatile function rooms. The building is designed in Biedermeier style, with Greek columns and a temple-like pediment. The interior is dominated by bright colors, which make the rooms feel inviting. Known as an inn since the 17th century, it was rebuilt after a fire in 1911 according to plans by Heinrich Metzendorf. After a three-year renovation, it opened as a hotel in 2011. The in-house distillery produces brandy, liqueur and gin, which can be tasted in the restaurant, wine cellar or beer garden.

Getting there

Heppenheim is located between Darmstadt and Heidelberg. Less than half a kilometer from Heppenheim train station, the Hotel Halber Mond can best be reached on foot (six minutes). Of course, public transport and parking spaces at the hotel are also available for car drivers.
