About this class
A lampshade made of willow, yarn and paper, which projects an enchanting play of light and shadow into the home. A wonderful gift for yourself and others when the days get shorter again and the desire for warm, flowing atmosphere increases.

Soaked willow branches are fenced, fitted and curled. They form the sturdy framework of the lampshade, which casts bizarrely diffuse shadow ornaments on walls and ceilings. Light transparent lighting effects are created by using a wide variety of papers.

Andrea Tuve from Biesenthal, owner of the Tuve studio, teaches this course, in which braid design and hand engravings are given great importance and plenty of room for interpretation and execution.
What you’ll do in the class
Now it's time to dive in and let it work. After you've received detailed instructions and lots of inspiration for your project, you're ready to go. You can implement your ideas and we will be there to help you with advice and assistance. You choose, assemble and design your own lampshade. Of course, we have a few surprises in store. Look forward to a break. Creative, inspiring and with a light-flooding result!
Who is the class suitable for?
This course is aimed at anyone who wants to try something new, but braiding enthusiasts will also get their money's worth here. The focus is on having fun with crafts and designing and you will gain initial experience in braiding and learn a lot about it.
