Class description

On this exclusive bird tour, renowned ornithologist Philipp Juranek takes you on an ornithological adventure. Discover the fascinating bird life of the Spreewald and get to know the voices and habitats of various bird species. With a bit of luck, you'll encounter rare species such as the oriole or even a sea eagle. The tour offers both exciting insights into nature and the opportunity to explore the area independently after the excursion.

Who is your guide?

Philipp Juranek is a journalist and author and has loved birds for as long as he can remember. As a child, he spent every free minute among birds — and to this day, there is nothing in the world that makes his heart beat as fast as our birdlife. It doesn't always have to be the rare, large or presumably special species that trigger this particular feeling of happiness in Philip — this is also achieved by the chaffinch or sparrow, which you encounter almost every day.

In his podcast “Gut zu Vögeln”, Philipp has been telling you all sorts of interesting facts, but above all personal details about the respective bird species in the episode — and we never tire of stressing that ornithology and birding is a low-threshold hobby that must be open to everyone.
