In this creative pottery course near Lüneburg, learn how to create unique works from clay — using assembly and turntable technology.
With plate technology, we form vessels and works of art, refine them on the turntable and add color with engobes. I then burn and glaze your work — and in the end, your dishwasher-safe masterpieces shine.
What you’ll do in the class
In this pottery class, we start with an introduction to the basics of pottery. Plate technology is a particular highlight. We use it to make wonderful cups, plates, vases, bowls and much more. To make the work look professional, we refine it on the turntable. You will then have the opportunity to paint your work with various engobe colors. I'll give you lots of pottery and painting tips so that you can let your imagination run wild and work with clay and colors.
We alternate between practical exercises on modelling and construction techniques and working on the turntable. You have plenty of time to practice both. Since we are only a small group, you will receive individual support so that you can see rapid progress. At the end of the course, you can choose your favorite piece, which I will burn and glaze for you so that it is dishwasher-safe and heat-resistant.
After 3-5 weeks, you can pick up your finished ceramic from me. I will notify you and let you know the dates. I am also happy to send them against payment of the shipping costs.
