About this class
It's a bit fresh outside right now, but not yet cold enough for a big scarf. That is exactly why a mini scarf is the perfect and very trendy accessory for the mid-season.
In this knitting class, you will learn how to knit a simple, cuddly mini scarf out of alpaca wool.
On three dates, I'll show you step by step how to make your mini scarf. Not only will you learn the individual techniques, but we'll also talk about wool, typical beginner knitting mistakes and try out different knitting techniques together — including stitch tapping, increases and decreases, the left stitch and color changes.
The course is deliberately designed to be beginner-friendly and offers plenty of time to practice, ask questions and knit together comfortably.
What you’ll do in the class
✔ Left stitches as well as increases and decreases — important basic techniques that you can use for many other knitting projects
✔ Knit with fluffy yarn — in class, you will work with a soft alpaca yarn that is knitted twice. It feels different than smooth or grippy yarns and is an exciting experience
✔ A simple scarf recipe — you can use these mini scarf instructions over and over again: with different wool, in different sizes or widths. You will learn how to flexibly adapt the scarf to your wishes and your existing wool
