About this class

Pilates is a holistic movement system that combines strength, stability, mobility and body awareness in a unique way. The focus is on a strong core, precise movements and conscious breathing, which optimally supports the body. Through targeted exercises, posture, balance and coordination are improved, tensions can be released and unfavorable movement patterns are sustainably optimized. The goal is for your body to be able to move more efficiently, more easily and more freely — not only during training, but also in everyday life.

Whether as a balance to a sedentary routine, to improve performance in sports, during pregnancy, in recovery or to regenerate after complaints: Pilates can be individually adapted to your needs, goals and current physical condition.

In order to achieve the best possible training results, we work with a variety of Pilates equipment such as the Reformer, the Wall Unit, the Barrels or the Chair. The training is supplemented by targeted correction and movement exercises, which open up new movement options. This results in positive transfers to other exercises, your posture and, above all, to the quality of movement in your daily life.

You can book the course either as individual training or in duet with a training partner.

What you’ll do in the class

In your trial unit, we will discuss exactly your goals, wishes, motivation and expectations for the training.

This is followed by a few simple exercises, which I can use to recognize different movement patterns and strategies and thus create a detailed training plan for you.

If you are not yet familiar with Pilates equipment, we will familiarise ourselves with suitable exercises and give you a first insight into how training can help you achieve your goals.

After your trial session, you are welcome to make a fix appointment once a week.

Who is the class suitable for?

Pilates individual training is particularly suitable if you are new to Pilates, want to get back into training safely after complaints or injuries, are looking for targeted support during pregnancy or during recovery, or want to deepen your technique on the equipment.

Even if you have the feeling that your body needs more individual support than is possible in a group, a private lesson offers you the ideal setting.

Duet sessions are particularly suitable for anyone who would like to do personalized Pilates and would like to share the lesson with a second person. The exercises are adapted in such a way that both participants are challenged and individual needs are taken into account at the same time. Training for two can be motivating, supportive and enriching. At the same time, it offers the focused support of a private lesson.

  • Suitable sportswear (tight clothing is better than very wide, as very loose clothing could get stuck in the feathers of the equipment)
  • Non-slip studded socks
  • Something to tie together for long hair
