About this class

Tuesday Painter | Professional Ceramic Painting

In the mood for an evening full of color, structure and ideas?

Would you like to paint ceramics, but the brush is not your best friend? Do you have lots of great ideas but don't know how to implement them? Or do you urgently need individual gifts and can't find the right one?

In our ceramic painting and decoration courses, you will discover a variety of exciting techniques and blanks. You will receive a comprehensive introduction and we will help you realize your ideas. A large selection of high-quality blanks made from the best Westerwald stoneware, handmade in our pottery, is available to you.

Your finished works are fired at 1260°C and are then absolutely suitable for everyday use: dishwasher and microwave safe.

What you’ll do in the class

As diverse as your ideas — discover our decoration techniques

The course starts with a professional introduction to the world of ceramic design. We will show you various techniques such as underglaze painting, sgraffito, stamping or transfer printing, with which you can individually design handmade stoneware. We value a real workshop feeling and practical instructions so that you can try yourself out right away.

You design your own piece of ceramic and receive support from experienced ceramists. Regardless of whether you come alone, with friends or as a team — the focus is on a creative and unforgettable experience.

Once designed, your unique work is fired in a clay house at 1260°C. This not only makes it dishwasher-safe and suitable for everyday use, but also a very personal unique item that you can take home with you.

Painting and drawing with engobes — apply, mix, glaze colors

Sgraffito and carving techniques — fine lines, structures, contrasts

Transfer printing and transfer — transfer graphics, fonts, patterns

Stamping and masking — experiment playfully

Combine and layer — make your personal handwriting visible
