Class description
In this course, you will learn how to work on the turntable and then have extensive knowledge of the entire process of handmade ceramics. With this knowledge, you know all the steps and can then make pottery yourself.
How does the intensive pottery course at the turntable in Berlin work?
- 1st session: On the first day, you will learn how to prepare the sound, center it, draw walls and give them a shape. You'll have enough time to try it out for yourself and empathize with it. For example, bowls, cups and mugs are manufactured.
- 2nd session: Here we consolidate all the steps you have learned and you can practice for yourself again. This will help you internalize pottery and become even more creative. We'll then help you improve your technique so that you're even safer.
- 3rd session: This day is about twisting so that your pieces have a nice foot, accentuate the shape, get a handle or some decorations. This is an important and very fun step to complete your pieces and give them a great finish.
- 4th session: Glazing is a completely separate world and that is why we take enough time to glaze your cut (1st fire) pieces. You will learn the various techniques such as brushing, diving, painting with engobes (paint), cross diving, etc.
Now the only thing missing is the last brand (glaze fire) that we will do for you. We will lovingly take care of your items so that all you have to do is pick them up. All steps have been taken by you and we just do the burning.:)
