Fulfilling a dream
With the Icaros VR flight simulator, the dream of flying is fulfilled for many people. The VR fitness device is not just an extravagant eye-catcher. At the same time, the sports equipment challenges your senses and the entire body. This makes the Icaros VR flight simulator a big step ahead of many other sporting activities.
Steps of the tour
Sporty training — varied and very effective
Most people usually associate sports training with monotony, clearly noticeable effort and leisure. People who have little pleasure in sports activities have this attitude in particular. But for exactly these people, the Icaros is a wonderful opportunity to discover new sporting opportunities and enjoy sports despite the effort. Icaros is a German company that regards the VR flight simulator of the same name as a successful combination of sports and gaming. The provider deliberately chose the name “Icaros” to recall Icarus from Greek mythology. Company founders Michael Schmidt and Johannes Scholl took up this basic idea of flying people a few years ago to design the flight simulator. Using modern technology and virtual reality glasses, they created the seemingly impossible by evaluating the Icaros as hardware and with specially developed software. On board the flight simulator, users are free to set up various games and, for example, take on the role of a spaceship pilot. Anyone who has always wanted to explore the underwater world by swimming or flying through rings in the sky can make this wish come true with sports equipment. Enjoy free mobility
How the Icaros works is quickly explained. In most cases, you have to overcome the challenge of taking up the lying position in the Icaros mechanism and maintaining your balance permanently. You are in an oblong bowl in which the shins and forearms rest. The feet are secured by two foot grids. Hand support bars are provided, which give you the necessary stability in the lying position. You are now in a horizontal position in a starting position, which is roughly comparable to the “plank” fitness exercise. You are also challenged to balance your body in Icaros. After all, the most important task for you is to use your physical effort to move the flight simulator in different directions and navigate the device. Enjoy free mobility in Icaros, which is based on a semicircular main axis and several smooth joints in the structure of the flight simulator.
