About this class
Hello and welcome!
I'm really happy that you're here! No matter which object you want to design, mosaic offers you a variety of ways to make surfaces durable and unique.
In my mosaic workshop in Dreiskau-Muckern, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in this fascinating craft for a whole day!
In our large HillereiMosaik workshop, you can expect a huge selection of tiles (approx. 25 colors), glass (various types and colors) and many additional materials, which you can then cut or break into shapes with special tools. Finally, your work is grouted in the appropriate color.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
See you soon,
Kati
What you’ll do in the class
You've never laid a mosaic before, do you want to try it? I'll show you the first steps with mosaic pliers, glass cutters... Or do you have a project in mind, need a few tips and special tools and materials? Regardless, you're exactly right in both cases.
You implement your design. Still no idea? I will support you with your mosaic art!
Where does the mosaic come from? Either you have an object at home, small furniture that could use a refresh, or we have a basic body to choose from, or you simply buy what you like.
Possible size within the time available: approx. 30 cm.
Material costs vary per project/person and are billed according to consumption at the conclusion.
Important for a relaxed course: Let's call in advance and discuss your ideas — I'll advise you on the feasibility, time required and material costs!
Course times: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., lunch break 2:30 p.m. - approx. 5 p.m.
Who is the class suitable for?
Beginners and advanced users aged 13 and over. Also very suitable for those who say “I'm not creative.”
