About this class
In this creative ceramics course, you have the opportunity to design your own work piece and then refine it with your personal touch. The course consists of two dates: The first session gives you 2.5 hours to make your pottery. After about two weeks, when your work piece is fired, we'll make an appointment where you can paint or glaze your creation to make it unique. A great course to get creative and create a very special unique piece.
What you’ll do in the class
Brief presentation of the instructor, introduction and instructions for making pottery (hand assembly). You can choose between two types of clay. Under guidance, you have the opportunity to make pottery, e.g. a vase, bowl, plate, cups or other great parts.
After about two weeks, we'll make an appointment so that you can paint or glaze your pieces yourself. We offer various techniques, from gradient glazing, screen printing and, of course, you can also transfer motifs that you bring yourself onto the ceramic. Of course, we also have motifs.
After glazing, the parts are then fired at 1250 degrees, giving you wonderful utility ceramics.
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for beginners as well as advanced learners. Whether you're working with clay for the first time or already have experience in pottery, the course gives you the opportunity to expand your skills and get creative. Our experienced instructors will provide you with individual support so that everyone can make progress at their level.
