About this class
In this bookbinding workshop in Horrem, we tie a semi-woven ribbon together - with beautiful handmade marble or paste paper and fine embossing.
You will learn the most important basics of bookbinding step by step and get a good basic understanding of how a book is actually structured.
What you’ll do in the class
We start with a flexible binding, let the book block dry in peace and use the time for small knowledge impulses about bookbinding, which provide a few aha moments.
We then make the cover and give it a drying time, which is used with a relaxing break of about 30 minutes.
The cover is then embossed and connected to the book block.
Who is the class suitable for?
The workshop is intended for everyone who wants to work with their hands, try out new things and finally take home a self-bound book - children are also welcome, and we will be there to support you throughout the workshop.
