About this class
Sketch your first nude drawings and learn how to capture the proportions of the human body.
In the workshop, you will learn how to turn line and structure into shadows and contours and translate the body of the model onto the two-dimensional plane of a leaf. The course is designed for beginners who already have initial drawing skills and have little or no experience working with models. You will be introduced to basic techniques.
It is important that you bring a lot of humor and joy. Important: This is not a performance-oriented course, but should bring joy and fun to drawing together.
What you’ll do in the class
We start with a few dry exercises to achieve proportions and perform them on our own body. Then you can try out your experiments on a nude model. Your first nude sketches are created with guidance, but above all with lots of own practical experiments. I am always available with instructions and tips and am also there as a time guard for the nude model poses. The poses are held by the model for 5-20 minutes. We first groove in with brief poses so that we can also look at the sketches in between. We then do the longer poses towards the end.
Finally, we lay out the work all over the Kreativwerkstatt and look at the progress together.
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for anyone aged 18 and over who would like to study the human act. IMPORTANT: Respectful handling of the nude model is required
