Macramé class: What you will learn

In a macramé class you learn the basic knots and build ever new patterns from them. Depending on the workshop you knot a wall hanging, a plant hanger, a pennant garland or wrap a lantern jar. For the loop you first knot the macramé part and then decorate it with dried flowers. Small projects such as a plant hanger in 1.5 hours or two keychains are enough to get started. You take your finished piece home.

What should I bring to a macramé class?

You don't need anything but good spirits. The partners provide yarn, tools and accessories, and drinks and snacks are partly included and partly bookable. The exact details are in each event description.

Macramé at home: DIY kits

You can learn macramé without a class too: the macramé starter kit with a dream catcher costs €33 plus shipping, and the DIY dried flower wreath kit with macramé including a video guide costs €39 plus shipping. More kits can be found in the flower wreath DIY kits.

Macramé as a hen party, team event or gift

Macramé suits a hen party, a birthday or a girls' night. Groups are welcome at unikArt Bad Nauheim and at Wow Space in Berlin, and reviews explicitly mention hen party groups. A macramé workshop is also a gift for creatives as a gift card. If you're looking for more formats, our DIY workshop category has more ideas, and for floral wreaths take a look at our wreath making class.
