I am Ines Segger, ceramic master, designer and co-owner of Tonhaus Keramik. Since 1996, we have been working as a classic craft business, combining traditional pottery with contemporary design and modern knowledge transfer.
My passion for ceramics didn't develop overnight — it grew out of training, daily workshop work, mistakes, experience and a deep understanding of this incredibly versatile material.
My mission is to make ceramics tangible not only as a product, but as a craft. To pass on knowledge, to explain connections and to help people implement their own ideas cleanly — regardless of their level of knowledge.

Location: What does your location look like and what is it equipped with? How many people can you accommodate in your location?

Our courses take place in our spacious, professionally equipped workshop in Bockenheim on the German Wine Route — a quiet, inspiring environment, a lively pottery shop.
The workshop is bright, spacious and designed for concentrated work. Each participant gets their own permanent job for the entire duration of the course. Turntables, tools, clay and work materials are available in unlimited quantities.
We consciously work in small groups: a maximum of five participants per experienced trainer. This enables intensive support, direct corrections and genuine individual coaching.

Courses and events: What makes your courses special?

Our courses are not quick workshops, but well-founded craft formats. Whether it's a trial course, an intensive course lasting several days or a two-week summer school — the focus is always on clean technology.
We analyse the current status of participants and work specifically on attitude, process, understanding of materials and repeatability. The sound flat rate is an integral part of all courses so that routine can be created and does not have to be improvised due to scarcity of materials.
The face-to-face formats are complemented by a steadily growing online offering and an accompanying community that enables exchange, questions and continued learning even after the course.

Team events and private events: Do you offer private events and if so, why are your events unique for groups?

Yes, we also offer private group and team events. These formats are particularly suitable for companies, groups of friends or special events.
What makes our events unique: It's real workshop work. No decorative backdrop, no crafting, but ceramic with substance. The participants work with high-quality materials, receive professional guidance and experience how a usable object is created from clay.
Working together, concentrated action and visible results create a special atmosphere — unifying, decelerating and memorable in the long term.
