WILKE - The photo studio

I am Georg Wilke, fourth-generation portrait photographer, and I run a traditional family studio in the heart of Vienna. My mission: to portray people in such a way that they recognize themselves — only better. Authentic, confident, with charm.
I discovered my passion for photography early on: Even as a child, I stood in my father's laboratory, watching how real moments were created from light and chemistry. Today, I combine this technical foundation with cutting-edge studio photography, clear imagery and a coaching approach that empowers people in front of the camera.
For me, every shoot is an encounter — and the task of making personality visible.

Location

My studio is located in downtown Vienna, at Werdertorgasse 12, easily accessible and deliberately designed as an inviting café.
It features:

• a professional portrait studio with the latest lighting technology
• separate styling and makeup areas
• a separate room for preparation, style advice and performance coaching
• quiet work areas for business sessions
• flexible sets for private and company portraits

The room is ideal for individual shoots, couples, families and teams of up to 6-8 people at the same time. For larger groups, I also offer on-site productions in the company — with a mobile studio setup.

Classes and events

We have been offering photography workshops and individual coaching for many years. My workshops are not standard photo courses, but real experience formats. Here, participants not only learn technology, lighting and visual effects, but above all how to create a good portrait — with posture, expression and presence.
My approach is special: My daily studio work and performance coaching (#Auftrittscoaching) brings in experience that can be used immediately. Regardless of whether it is about lighting design, posing or eye guidance — everything is taught in a practical, clear and without technical jargon.
Each workshop is designed to make people visible and give them tools for powerful images — whether professionally or privately.

Team events and private events

Yes, I offer private events and team events — and they are deliberately different from classic “group shoots.”
Why Because it's not just about photos, it's about a shared experience that connects.
Teams experience how individual portraits create a strong visual identity. For private groups — such as friends, couples or families — the shoot is an experience that creates closeness and captures shared moments.
With coaching, humor, clear guidance and a relaxed setting, I make sure that every person feels comfortable and can show their best image.
